If you're a fan of the futuristic action role-playing game series Mass Effect, then you probably already know that despite rumors (and early trailers) to the contrary, Commander Shepard is alive and well. LEFT 4 DEAD 2

If there’s anything immediately familiar about Left 4 Dead 2, it’s this: If you separate from your group of zombie apocalypse survivors, you’re not going to be a survivor much longer. The Sims 3 is a strategic life simulation video game in The Sims franchise, originally created by Maxis. It was released on DVD for Microsoft Windows and on CD for Macintosh, using cider emulation, on June 2, 2009 in North America, on June 4, 2009 in Australia and on June 5, 2009 in Europe. A collectors edition of the game containing exclusive downloadable content, a plumbob-shaped USB drive and a Hints and Tips guide created by Prima, was also released. An expansion pack titled The Sims 3 : World Adventures has also been announced. A version for the Playstation 3 and Xbox is being speculated.

The Sims 3 is built upon the same concept as its predecessor. Players control their Sims in various activities and form relationships in a manner similar to real life. The Sims 3, like The Sims and The Sims 2, does not have a defined final goal; gameplay is open-ended. This title also features a "living neighborhood" where all Sims age at once.

The Sims 3 proved to be instant success selling 1.4 million copies in its first week and dominated the sales charts over a month later. Critics issued mostly positive reviews; The Sims 3 gained an 86% score from aggregator Metacritic.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Review

Posted by Spawn Nightking

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series is easily the epitome of the open world "sandbox" game design. Other studios have tried to capture that same vibe in their own titles with various levels of success, but for better or worse none have been able to dethrone GTA as the game that's synonymous with the open world genre. So when Rockstar branches out its series in new directions, you take notice: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a GTA game specifically tailored for the Nintendo DS platform, and while the Nintendo DS may be the weakest current generation system in terms of hardware power, Rockstar doesn't let that get in the way of producing one of the deepest and extremely fulfilling chapters in the Grand Theft Auto saga. We've already seen handheld renditions of the Grand Theft Auto open-world design: the PlayStation Portable has supported two games in the series that came extremely close to the quality of the PlayStation 2 renditions. The same team responsible for the PSP versions hunkered down to build a unique GTA experience for the Nintendo DS platform and succeeds admirably. GTA: Chinatown Wars might shift some things around and pair the big picture down, but the scope remains the same: it's a tremendous game, both in scale and in fun. Chinatown Wars opens with Huang Lee on his way to Liberty City to deliver a symbolic sword to his Uncle Kenny. Huang's father, a Triad boss, was mysteriously slain and this sword must pass from his possession to his brother. Unfortunately for Huang, he's ambushed upon arrival, his sword stolen, and he's tossed for dead into the harbor. That's where the player begins their Liberty City underworld career on the Nintendo DS. The story takes some bobs, weaves, twists and turns in the single-player campaign, and we'll leave the surprises for you to discover on your own. No spoilers here.
